Baker Racing - Horse Racing Trainers - Cambridge New Zealand

STABLES

Baker Racing stables are located in Cambridge, New Zealand. Cambridge is well known as the horse capital of New Zealand and boasts many of the country’s best studs.

The Cambridge training centre is one of the best training centers in Australasia. It compromises two tracks (a left handed track and a right handed track, accommodating 12 individual tracks) swimming pool and starting gates. Cambridge is very centrally located and allows easy float access to most of the main racing centers such as Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, New Plymouth and Hastings. There is no racing at Cambridge due to its close proximity to major centres, however there are numerous trial meetings.

Baker Racing stables compromise 40 boxes, a 10 horse walker, large hay barn and eight tie-up stalls. We also own the property directly across Hannon Road from the stables, this has recently been fenced and has many yards, hayshed and storage and a staff house. As well as the stables and 5 acres opposite, Baker Racing has 9 acres of a chicory crop which we cut everyday to supplement the horses feed. The chicory is a favourite of all of the horses!!!

The combination of a great training track, swimming pool, walker, newly fenced yards, staff house and chicory all adds to what is a great training setup that will continue to produce many winners.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to make an appointment to come and see our facilities.
